Lesson 1: Road Map to learn SAP HR
Hi Readers !!
After a small warm-up session on the basics of SAP HR , let us all step into the real marathon. And I am equally excited to give you ride from here to a minimum proficiency level!!
Its a known fact that we all have read the same textbooks and have written the same exams but everybody's strategy of learning is something that differentiates each one of us. Some say its luck and some say its hard work. But I always believe in only one thing, 'smart work'. And I love to follow it whenever I learn something new and believe me things always ended up the way I want!!
Why a motivational story all of a sudden??
Because you need to understand my methodology and ideology to follow up on the sequence of my articles to learn SAP HR.
Many tutorials focus on dividing SAP HR into sub modules like PA, OM , TM, Payroll and try to explain one after the other but in real scenarios it doesn't work that way. Every sub-module is interrelated and we can't learn one without the other.
So before jumping walls , I want you to step on something and watch what is behind the wall first. As a brief I will first narrate what you are going to learn in near future and their application in real life scenarios. Please comment if you have any queries regarding the concepts , I will always make time to give you some input.
The basic Road Map will be as below:
As I said before, SAP HR is mostly related to the employee related data and its data maintenance and configuration. So the first thing we do when we need an employee to be a part of an organisation is to hire the employee. So as per SAP HR module terminology , the process of Hiring an employee and assigning him a position etc., will be performed as a part of "Hiring" Action .
While executing this Hiring 'Action' we need to enter details in each and every infotype that is a part of that action. For now just remember that when we perform an action , we need to fill a set of infotypes that are a part of the action.
A don't like lengthy and boring posts, hope you learnt something today.
Lesson 2: coming soon.............
