SAP LOGIN
Hi readers,
Hope you all are having a great time :-)
Even I am equally eager to share my knowledge. So lets get started buddies!!
Before you start working , you should login to the SAP system. Assuming that you don't know anything about SAP( If you are already familiar with this , skip this article!). A login into SAP portal is just the same the way you login into your gmail or Facebook account.
You need the login credentials like Username and password. These credentials are provided by the basis team (BASIS is another module in SAP where people work on providing authorizations and roles to the User Id's to enable users to access the data that is needed and secure the data based on the roles).
After getting logged into the system, you will find a screen as provided below and from where you start entering into the world of SAP HR.
What is a client?
A client is a customer in general description. When a company supports multiple customers , it will create multiple clients within one SAP instant. So it becomes cost effective as the client concept enables SAP SAS customers to install very less SAP systems but still cater to a large number of customer. For example if a company like TCS supports multiple companies like Apple and Samsung. TCS installs one SAP system and maintain different clients for both Apple and Samsung. Let us assume Apple got assigned as 400 client and Samsung for 800 client. TCS support or development team of Apple can login to the system with their credentials for only 400 client and similarly for in the case of Samsung credentials of login will work only for 800 client. Hope you are all clear with this now...
To view what are all clients are enabled for one SAP system can be viewed with the transaction code SCC4.
Hope now you are all in a position to recognise the initial screen i.e., SAP logon pad. More things to learn yet , but slowly and steadily!!
Have a nice day.....see u again!!

SAP comes with three "standard clients": -
- 000
- 001
- 066
000 Client: - We can find this clients in the system as soon as we install SAP r/3 software. This is called master client. Client 000 contains a simple organizational structure of a test company and includes parameters for all applications, standard settings, and configurations for the control of standard transactions and examples to be used in many different profiles of the business applications. It contains client independent data.
001 Client: - This clients is a copy of the 000 client including the test company. This client's settings are client-independent if it is configured or customized. People normally use 001 clients to create a new client.
066 Client: - This client is called early watch client. The SAP earlywatch alert is a diagnosis service, for solution monitoring of SAP and non-SAP systems in the SAP Solution Manager. Alert may contain Performance issue, average response time, current system load, Database administration,etc..

Next two fields User and Password are just login credentials we have to input to enter into the system.
The Logon Language is nothing but the language you want to enable while working with the SAP system. SAP is implemented by multiple users across the world. Hope now you are all in a position to recognise the initial screen i.e., SAP logon pad. More things to learn yet , but slowly and steadily!!
